China will lose...

The people's republic of China has been our trusted friend and ally for a long time. We enjoy openness and mutual respect, and our relationship goes beyond diplomatic niceties.

We have been trading with China for more than 2,000 years. China must have been trading with us for over 2,000 years too. The binding force is trust.

Often when comparing China to the West Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad used to say that China never aimed to conquer other nations despite its economic prowess in the past, unlike the Europeans.

When he was prime minister, Dr Mahathir regarded China as a true friend, although Kuala Lumpur's foreign policy then was to remain neutral in geopolitical muscle-flexing between Beijing and Washington.

Malaysians watched in awe as the Communist state developed into a regional economic power. Malaysia was happy because we subscribed to the 'Prosper thy neighbour' policy. China our friend has now transformed into a superpower.

Is China the superpower still a trusted friend of Malaysians. Is it the China that fights corruption with death by firing squad

Malaysians trusted China because Beijing led by example in the past. We know hardwork, impeccable integrity and good governance led to China's rapid growth into a world power in less than two decades.

We trust integrity and good governance remains China's core values.

Some believe that recent geopolitical manoeuvres in the region could have eroded some of China's long held values. Only Beijing could clarify this negative perception.

Confucius is often quoted to portray the wisdom of the Chinese. We have enjoyed good people to people ties for centuries.

However you flip it, ties with a kleptocrat while betraying a nation in crisis cannot be politics. If it is then that's dirty politics. Certainly such dirty deals and backstabbing cannot be the cornerstone of a superpower in waiting.

China will lose if trust is lost.

We may soon require MOUs with China on how best to combat corruption, abuse of power, theft and treachery.

  2. "Good leaders reach solutions, and then stop. They do not dare to rely on force."
    [Tao Te Ching ch. 30]

The kleptocrat obstructs solutions by his forceful will to deny the common good.

  5. Not that long ago, Malaysia was still in the hands of the Brits.

So what is such big deal if it is really true Malaysia has been "sold to the Chinese"?

And what is the further big deal when traitors were happy to sell their souls to the Brits, that they may be selling their souls to the Chinese now?

Is it because there is that ongoing hatred for the Chinese inculcated by the Brits in their "divide and rule" strategy, and still slavishly followed by some of us that selling our souls to the Chinese may be a bigger issue that selling our souls to some people else?

And, why are the Chinese do interested in Malaysia that nobody else seems to be?

It can't be that big talent pool of Malaysian genius that the Chinese are desperate to grab, can it?!

  6. Actually China leadership know MO1 2.6 billions ringgit derma. However they cannot and will not interfere Malaysia internal corruption unlike big mouth America lest China is accused of interfering Malaysia which is very sensitive issue. But Chinese leadership also know Malaysia financial and economic is at verge of collapse may result in IMF assistance and chaos and racial strifes. Based on Tun Razak good deed in 1974, China is returning a favour to Malaysia as Investment, loan and bailout for Najib.

  7. The 24-hour replacement makes us a 3rd world pariah:

"Malaysia has rejected Switzerland's request for mutual legal assistance (MLA) in the alleged embezzlement and money laundering probe involving 1MDB.

“Very recently we have had the response that the Malaysian authorities will not reply to our request. They just said that under their legal framework, they can’t reply,” Swiss attorney-general Michael Lauber told UK's Financial Times in an interview published today.

According to FT, the Malaysian AG's Chambers denied it was attempting to frustrate the Swiss probe but cited the country's "continuing criminal investigation by Malaysian police in relation to matters concerning 1MDB".

Last month attorney-general (AG) Mohamed Apandi Ali confirmed that his office had received the request from Switzerland's Office of the Attorney-General.

This was the Swiss AG's second MLA request to Malaysia, after the AG's Chambers claimed it did not received the first application."

    How embarrassing and unprofessional.

So the strategy is first to "ignore" then to "delay".

What is PDRM going to do, exactly?

What kambing hitam are even left now?

Arrest Shahrol? Nobody believes he acted alone.

Arrest Jho Low? After 15 months, PDRM has not lifted a finger to get him. And it seems that Jho Low is at heart of the ERCL deal, i.e. 1MDB part 2.

PDRM will be told to drag their feet, pura2 buat kerja, and hope that the whole thing will be forgotten.

It won't happen, because the case in Singapore (not reported locally, of course) is showing the truth quite clearly. And the Swiss will not give up. The DOJ will not either; there is nothing that MO1 can offer a Trump White House except to go against China, but now China owns MO1.

The 24-hour replacement is only ruining our international reputation, but then his master MO1 has done that already.
