As reported in the Opposition mouthpiece Malaysiakini, a portal that is seeking millions of public funds for their posh new building somewhere in PJ, Nurul seems to be more attracted to Umno than PKR.
Nurul' wish list - by Opposition mouthpiece Malaysiakini
PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has listed several pertinent issues which should be raised during the Umno general assembly to prove it is not only concerned with the centralisation of economic spoils and keeping selected individuals in power.Topping the Lembah Pantai MP’s list was former Kuala Lumpur CID chief Mat Zain Ibrahim’s statutory declaration, which contained allegations of wrongdoing by Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail (right) with regard to the Batu Puteh dispute.
Calling on BN to give this matter serious attention, she said: “The issue concerns the (alleged) violation of our nation’s sovereignty by one of our citizens.”
Following this, the PKR leader said Umno must also raise the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), which can lead to economic colonisation.
“In view of this, I recommend that Umno raise the issue of forming a Parliament Select Committee regarding the TPPA and also debate the demand that Parliament be given the power to ratify the agreement before it is inked,” she added.
Number three on Nurul’s list are the Sulu incursion in Sabah as well as the murder and abduction of Taiwanese tourists in that state.
Apart from this, she also wanted the Umno assembly to focus on the issuing of identity cards to foreigners as well as the allegations that countries like the US and Singapore are conducting espionage activities on Malaysia.
“These issues must not only be debated, but Umno must vehemently condemn them,” she said.
Its quite an irony for the Opposition leader's daughter to publicly voice her wish list for Umno. Could it be hidden love and affection for the party that made her family rich and famous?
It seems Nurul has resigned to the fact that only Umno, the party in which her father was a powerful politician over a decade ago, could make her wishes come true.
Nurul must have been reminded that it was Umno that once nurtured her street demonstration savvy father Anwar Ibrahim and turned him into a sane politician until power, greed and flamboyance got the better of him.
I suspect mummy cum PKR president Datin Seri Wan Azizah must have reminded Nurul that it was actually Umno that fed her family and sent her and her siblings to top grade learning institutions.
So, I hope Umno would view Nurul's wish list in a positive light and email her a membership form. Who knows she could be one of the speakers in the next Umno General Assembly.
I'm sure many could understand why Nurul did not draw up a wish list for PKR.
Nurul's father too had a pretty long WISH LIST… his own wish list while Tun Ghaffar was still deputy president of Umno.
YOU forgot what Anwar did to the late Tun Ghaffar?

Salam APANAMA,
Wow, a very catchy title for public interactive debate, "Oh! Nurul Izah Binti Anwar Ibrahim". I would rather focused on the contents rather than the beautiful face value of our infamous Nurul Izzah, young PKR MP for Lembah Pantai Dalam. Whatever happens Nurul, Uncle Mus is still your friend though we may differ in our political belief and values!
Having said that, my first remark is that"Nurul had joined the wrong party but unfortunately, like father, like daughter but never thought that Nurul would have a small chip from Kak Wan Azizah. Nurul should have joined UMNO and broke rank with her Anwar family odyssey and political dynasty.
Nurul would have been a very effective leader for Puteri UMNO and don't forget that one day (in the future) Nurul will be the first PM for Malaysia, but only GOD knows when the time and if our ruling party UMNO/BN start to roller coaster and losing support of the Malays, Chinese, Indians and others.
I still love UMNO after having being associated with the leaders and the operational aspects of party management in UMNO HQ from 1987 to 1990.I still love to be a Malay as prescribed in the Federal Constitution, though I am an adopted son of a typical nationalist from Kelantan.
To say the truth, at aged 70 years I am a bit sad and disappointed to see things that should have been improved or better in UMNO today. Hopefully Najib as the incumbent president for another term or two will succeed in transforming the mind set of the members as well as to caution the ethics of some of the UMNO leaders in power.Politics is not about making money but also tiring service to the people, and for that politically leaders in US and EU are not highly paid as law makers in the Congress or parliament. Today, our state administration in Selangor and Penang are arguing about the quantum of salaries for their ADUNs against the wishes of the people. PR government should have listed their expected pay rolls in their election manifestos.
Coming back to Nurul, I think even after her first term in parliament and going to second term, she is still a green horn and a political novice, but much better in many ways that madam Speaker Hannah Teoh in Selangor. Nurul is socially and media friendly, warm and charming but she is still not mature to lecture our UMNO leaders, with her wish-list which may annoy our senior UMNO leaders. Nurul need to remind herself that " All political power is TRUST". (Charles James Fox)If a politician is not trustworthy, then he or she will lose her power and political value. A politician has to be able to see both sides of an issue so he can get around it.Unfortunately for Nurul, she should agree and believe that her father Anwar Ibrahim is a political liability to her, given Anwar's political ratings and the state of affairs in PKR today.
Nurul ... boleh tahan. Lifestyle liberal juga.
Nampak saja pakai telekong.

Can you re-read the "wish list" bro?
Your attempted spin on her trying to give UMNO a kick in the ass is a little far-fetched.
She's not yearning to be in the arms of the party of thieves (her dad made that mistake), she's pushing them to act on key issues.
Different things, lah.
Is this a remake of "Sex, Lies and Videotape" from the PKR mentor @D-Day Lahad Datu?

"If you lose your sense of shame, then you'll like to do whatever pleases you."
alahai....who fed umno then..if its not the people money.....not all malay can be fooled....
Correct me if I'm wrong, dulu pernah tak Anwar ada minta nak masuk semula dalam UMNO masa zaman Tun Abdullah, tapi kena reject? Bermakna UMNO taklah seteruk yang dia war-warkan sebab dia sendiri nak masuk balik. Mana ada orang nak join sebuah organization yang teruk?
Mustapha Ong cannot complain. His son is Director in Petrons.
Wow umno eat people's money! Boo umno. But PKR fed on whose money. I am very confuse Chinese. Only malay can think such think. Such funny reason..
