Does this 'missing' Yayasan Kebajikan Negara come under the 'bidang kuasa' or jurisdiction of the current Minister of Women, Family and Community Development (as stated in wikipedia) or is it still under the thumb of the former minister?

Guess it would be wise for the MACC to pay this well-funded foundation a courtesy call, just to make sure that everything is well and good.

TQ MACC, you guys are doing a great service to this nation and her people. Do your duty without fear or favour, you have the full support of the majority.
p/s Is 1Azam also funded by this Yayasan Kebajikan Negara?

Shahrizat's ex-political secretary in MACC net?

Ex-political secretary to assist in MACC investigations

By Azura Abas

PUTRAJAYA: The MACC has roped in an ex-political secretary of a former senior cabinet minister to assist in investigations over the mismanagement of funds related to a programme for the poor.
It is understood that 10 luxury vehicles had also been confiscated to assist with investigations.
The man who was detained last Saturday was also released on bail today. - NST

Highly placed sources have revealed that the suspect could be Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil's former political secretary and that this latest scandal may be related to a 'Yayasan' which came under the Woman, Family and Community Development Ministry. Shahrizat is the immediate past minister of the ministry and the suspect is said to be her high ranking officer then.

Sources also pointed that Shahrizat, who was recently appointed as Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, could be facing a fresh round of controversy following the MACC probe.

The timing of this MACC swoop must have hit the controversy-striken Wanita Umno chief real hard since she is also defending her position in the upcoming party polls.

Personal interests and considerations aside, we the rakyat must stand together and congratulate the MACC for a job well done... without fear or favour!

"My condolences to the families of the dead and those affected, and respect for all law enforcement and emergency responders on the scene."

One police officer was in surgery after being shot in an exchange of fire with a gunman, said Chief Cathy L. Lanier of the Metropolitan Police Department. The shootings took place at the Washington Navy Yard, in the southeast part of the city.
Senior law enforcement officials identified the gunman as Aaron Alexis, 34. He was identified through his fingerprints.
According to the Navy, Mr. Alexis enlisted as a full-time reservist in May 2007 and left the service in January 2011. He served as an aviation electrician, and the highest rank he achieved was mate third class. From February 2008 to January 2011, he was assigned to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 46, in Fort Worth.
The Navy said that Mr. Alexis had been awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Can't imagine the type of headlines and religious profiling the American media would have taken and gone to town with if the 'gunman' had been a Muslim

This shooting in Washington D.C. is a tragedy and our prayer goes to those who have been shot dead in cold blood by this 'Global War on Terrorism Service Medal' recipient. We pray that those who have been injured would recover soonest.

We also pray that the American media and their masters open their eyes and heart big enough to STOP religious/racial profiling when a heinious crime is committed anywhere in the world.

Terrorism knows no race or religion, otherwise how could Mr Aaron Alexis have terrorised those innocent Americans at the Navy Yard and killed 12 of them in cold blood?
Alexis is certainly not a Muslim terrorist.

Selamat Hari Malaysia ke-50

Half a century ago today the 'marriage' of Persekutuan Tanah MELAYU, Singapore, North Borneo (Sabah) and Sarawak was formalised and the unison was named MALAYSIA. Two year later, in 1965, Singapore was kicked out for breaching core rules of the house. Since then Malaysia as a federation has come a long way. What you think of Malaysia today or how you describe her may vary but the world recognises Malaysia as a progressive nation that has managed to strive on the diversity of her people. Unity in diversity is very much relevant today despite the growing pains of politics and freedom.
Happy 50th Anniversary of the Federation of Malaysia!

p/s Ironic but its true. The notorious Communist Party of Malaya leader Chin Peng who led a bloody war against Malaya and later Malaysia has died on the 50th anniversary of Malaysia.
