Remain FREE not for FREE
Happy 49th anniversary of the formation of Malaysia.
On this day in 1963 Persekutuan Tanah Melayu, North Borneo (Sabah), Sarawak and Singapore got together to form the Federation of Malaysia.
Lee Kuan Yew-led Singapore was eventually kicked out from the federation in 1965. Tanah Melayu, Sabah and Sarawak have stayed united as 1Malaysia for almost half a century, together building and transforming this nation of ours.
Our beloved Malaysia is 49 years old and has faced many challenges since 1963 and the challenges are getting tougher by the year.
Unity in diversity has always been our strength, and we shall never allow unscrupulous politics and the craze for power to ruin this unity in our vibrant society.
No matter how well you argue and justify, politic of hatred must not be allowed to take root for it will be the cancer for Malaysia.
If politics is all about why you should hate the Government, then the critics should stay as trustworthy ombudsman. Don't make 'FREE' promises because you want Malaysians to hate the Government.
Respect the government of the day and the leadership, and if you decide to judge them to be not worthy (after managing Malaysia for 49 years) then register your judgement via the ballot boxes.
Let's just behave like good old Malaysians and not try to install any foreign 'spring' into our system, even if it spells FREEdom.
Nothing is FREE in this world.
Selamat Hari Malaysia.
p/s The flame of hatred you stoke against the Government today would rise higher, even if YOU form the next Government. This will start a dangerous cycle which will drag us into the dungeon.
Nak undi ke? Baru teringat Unity in Diversity dan apa sebenarnya Malaysia Day?
ReplyDeleteGovt. dan govt servants tu bukan parti politik atau ahli politik, ler.
