MTUC kicks PKR out!
"MTUC should continue to pursue the issues that were being initiated by the present council and bring them to fruition.
He felt that the new council should engage more with the government and work towards the good of the workers and the nation
“We realise that in the past we had been perceived to be anti-government because some of our leaders were in the opposition party,” he said.
“It is vital that the incoming council should eradicate this perception and sincerely work with the government to achieve substantial benefits for their membership,” he added.
NUBE secretary-general, J. Solomon fully agreed with this and said that if he were to be elected, he would work hard to engage not only the government but also the private sector to appreciate the contribution of the workers towards the nation’s development.
“We want workers to be treated with dignity and as important partners in development,” he emphaised.
Presidential aspirant Khalid said if he were to win, he would endeavour to restore the “image of MTUC as an independent and apolitical workers organization”. “I will ensure that MTUC is united and truly becomes a workers protector and champion,” - G.Rajasegaran - Bernama

The Return of MAVI MARMARA
ISTANBUL, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Mavi Marmara, the flagship of the ill-fated Gaza-bound flotilla attacked by Israel in May, returned to Istanbul on Sunday.
More than 10,000 people gathered at Istanbul's Sarayburnu port to express their anger at Israel, waving flags of Turkey and the Palestinian territories.
A welcoming ceremony was held by the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH) for Mavi Marmara ship at the port.
People across Turkey, peace activists from 50 countries and representatives from nongovernmental organizations attended the ceremony.
Mavi Marmara set sail from Turkey with humanitarian aid to Gaza on May 22, 2010.
On May 31, Israeli soldiers attacked the flotilla in international waters. Nine activists were killed and 54 others were injured by the attacks. - Xinhua News
The "Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief" -- known by the acronym "IHH" -- held a welcoming ceremony for the vessel at the port. The Turkish terror-linked organization was behind the armed, trained mercenary-style "activists" who occupied the vessel during the May 31 incident that has been the focus of tension between the two nations for months.
Davutoglu held firm to the Ankara government's position that Israel is to blame for the rift between the two countries, but he insisted to journalists at a news conference in Istanbul on Saturday, “We have the intention of making peace with Israel.”
The Turkish-sponsored vessel, part of a six-ship flotilla intent on breaking Israel's blockade of Gaza, had ignored Israeli naval commands to change course. Eight of the nine who died in the ensuing clash were Turkish nationals, and all were members of the IHH organization. The ninth terror activist was a Turkish citizen of American origin. - ARUTZ SHEVA

JUDGES CONVINCED before Wikileaks Leaked!
To summarise our judgment, even though reading the appeal record, we find evidence to confirm that the appellants were involved in homosexual activities and we are more inclined to believe that the alleged incident at Tivoli Villa did happen, sometime, this court, as a court of law, may only convict the appellants if the prosecution has successfully proved the alleged offences as stated in the charges, beyond reasonable doubt, on admissible evidence and in accordance with established principles of law. We may be convinced in our minds of the guilt or innocence of the appellants but our decision must only be based on the evidence adduced and nothing else. – Sept 2, 2004.

WIKILEAKS the Kiasu Singaporeans.
1st REPORT
Top Singapore officials trash the neighbours
Philip Dorling and Nick McKenzie
December 12, 2010
MALAYSIA'S ''dangerous'' decline is fuelled by incompetent politicians, Thailand is dogged by corruption and a ''very erratic'' crown prince, Japan is a ''big fat loser'' and India is ''stupid''.
So say some of Singapore's highest-ranking officials, according to leaked US State Department cables that are likely to spark intense political controversy in the region.
The cables, leaked exclusively to The Sunday Age by WikiLeaks, detail the content of separate meetings between senior US officials and Singapore's foreign affairs chiefs Peter Ho, Bilahari Kausikan and Tommy Koh.
The trio, who at the time of the 2008 and 2009 cables occupied some of the most senior positions in Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry, all give US officials damning assessments of Malaysia.
According to one cable detailing a meeting in September 2008, Mr Kausikan told US Deputy Secretary of Defence for East Asia David Sedney that ''the situation in neighbouring Malaysia is confused and dangerous'', fuelled by a ''distinct possibility of racial conflict'' that could see ethnic Chinese ''flee'' Malaysia and ''overwhelm'' Singapore.
''A lack of competent leadership is a real problem for Malaysia,'' Mr Kausikan said, citing the need for Najib Razak - now Malaysia's Prime Minister - to ''prevail politically in order to avoid prosecution'' in connection with a 2006 murder investigation linked to one of Mr Razak's aides.
''Najib Razak has his neck on the line in connection with a high-profile murder case,'' Mr Kausikan said.
Mr Ho's March 2008 assessment of Malaysia, given to another US official, is also unflattering, and includes claims that former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has been ''throwing stones'' at his replacement, Abdullah Badawi.
''The political knives will be out for Abdullah's son-in-law, United Malays National Organisation politician Khairy Jamaluddin, whom nobody likes because he got where he is through family ties,'' the cable records Mr Ho saying. ''As for … Najib Razak, he is an opportunist. Although he has not been critical of Singapore, he will not hesitate to go in that direction if it is expedient for him to do so. Najib's political fortunes continue to be haunted by the … murder scandal.''
In his September 2008 meeting with Mr Sedney, Mr Kausikan savages Thailand's political elite, labelling Thaksin Shinawatra as ''corrupt'' along with ''everyone else, including the opposition''.
Mr Kausikan is also critical of Thaksin's relationship with the Thai crown prince, stating that Thaksin ''made a mistake in pursuing a relationship with the crown prince by paying off the crown prince's gambling debts''.
''Kausikan said the crown prince was 'very erratic, and easily subject to influence','' the cable states, while also saying that Mr Kausikan warned of continued instability in Thailand.
In a September 2009 meeting with US officials, senior Singaporean foreign affairs official Tommy Koh savages Japan and India in relation to the impact on both countries of China's increasing regional might.
''Koh described Japan as 'the big fat loser' in the context of improving ties between China and ASEAN. He attributed the relative decline of Japan's stature in the region to Japan's 'stupidity, bad leadership, and lack of vision','' the cable says.
''He was equally merciless towards India, describing his 'stupid Indian friends' as 'half in, half out' of ASEAN.''
Other notable comments about regional affairs made by Mr Kausikan in September 2008 include his reported claims that:
■ Burma's neighbours, including China and India, are ''more concerned with stability than justice'' and they feared the Burmese junta's demise could produce ''an Asian reprise of the breakup of Yugoslavia''.
■ He would be ''more comfortable with a nuclear-capable North Korea, than a nuclear-capable Iran''.
■ Russia's economy is ''Third World'', its health system a shambles and its demographic challenges almost insurmountable.
Mr Koh is recorded praising China's ''investment and intelligent diplomacy in the region''.
''I don't fear China. I don't fear being assimilated by China,'' the cable states that Mr Koh said, while he pointed to China's decision to invest in Africa ''without lecturing them about human rights and democracy as the West does''. - Sydney Morning Herald

DAP's democracy in Penang.
One of our readers posted the following comments in our previous posting and we THINK its a serious matter, which clearly exposes the Penang DAP state government's calculated rape of Democracy.
Below are the two comments -
1. APANAMA pls help here! See the below link!
http://malaysia-today.net/mtcolumns/from-around-the-blogs/35982-historic-local-council-polls-held-in-penang
And here is my response that they might not post!
This is a sham election! 300 people out of over 1.5 million?!? How does this count as democratic? Was there even provision to allow for 10,000 to vote? And if there was 10,000 would not even count!
The lack of mechanism provided by DAP to allow every person in every district to vote makes this an extremely tilted affair, a closed election!
I propose the entire election be carried out in a proper manner at once with ballot boxes in every district and constituency! Any NGOs ready to file suit? Where is the State Governor??? This is a farce! Bloody murder of democracy!
APANAMA - help to challenge this horror! And please, help to fight apartheid too!
Your concerned citizen,
2.How should this Local Council Election have been done?
1) Put out adverts (as they did) asking state citizens to nominate or apply for candidacy. The top 20 will be sent forms to fill in.
2) Candidates who reply and pass vetting will be put on a form. Send this form with that list of candidates to EVERY address in Penang asking them to nominate or apply for candidacy.
3) Wait 3 months for the recipients to post back this form with the selectable candidates.
This would cost 20 sen per letter to send making the cost 300K for Penang which has 1.5 million people. Or to absorb the cost, 50 sen in stamps must be sent in as well.
4) Counting begins. results posted in newspaper.
NOT get a bunch of cronies to effectively FIX the election by effectively not making elections available to the public! Someone should sue DAP!
Again, please end the APARTHEID as well!
"More than 300 people participated in an election organised by Penang Forum 3 (PG3) on 14 November 2010. The event was organised to elect five persons each to the MPPP and MPSP. These ten will then be nominated by PG3 as civil society representatives to the two local authorities.
Prior to voting, the participants listened to talks by a serving Councillor and by other Penang Forum representatives about issues related to local council governance. Then they listened to short speeches by all the 24 contestants.
The most interesting aspect of the day’s event was its 3-in-1 feature: an opportunity to learn about the local government issues, to meet and question the candidates, and only then to vote.
Elected to the MPPP were:
- Teo Lee Ken
- Lim Mah Hui
- Chin Khuan Sui
- Loh Swee Heong
- Dalbinder Singh
Elected to the MPSP were:
- Tiun Ling Ta
- Sivagurupatham a/l S Vadivelu
- Teng Kim Chew
- Krishnan a/l Samiah

Another POLITICAL Prostitute ?
BEGINDA MURTAD IS A MUSLIM-Not Muslim-MUSLIM AGAIN... APOSTATE
The report in STAR Online today (below) is indeed very interesting. Guess the now self-declared apostate Beginda Minda had dug himself deeper into the ground in his haste to get out of the quagmire that he got himself into.

Dad in pork issue claims he is not Muslim
PETALING JAYA: Beginda Minda, father of the 10-year-old pupil who was recently caned for bringing pork to school, has denied that he is a Muslim.
“I admit I was a Muslim before. But in 1999, I changed my religion. Now I am a non-Muslim,” Beginda said yesterday.
The status of his religion had been brought to the forefront since the caning incident.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz said the Government had asked Jakim to investigate the religious status of Beginda.
“Only after this can conclusions be drawn on why his son was caned,” said the minister.
Debates and arguments in Parliament over the last two days had centred on whether or not his son Basil — raised by a Christian mother — was also Muslim.
Beginda stressed that his son was not a Muslim.
“My son is a Christian. He was brought up according to his mother’s religion,” he said.
The father also said that in 2004, when he applied for a MyKad, he had his name changed to Beginda Anak Minda.
His son was born on May 8, 2000.
On his birth certificate, no religion is stated for Beginda.
However, an independent MP claimed Beginda had contested under the PKR ticket in the 1999 and 2004 general elections as a Muslim candidate.
Kulim Bandar Baru MP, Zulkifli Noordin, told reporters at Parliament that Beginda had contested the two general elections as Nor Azman Abdullah.
According to a decree issued by the National Fatwa Council, if either parent is Muslim, the child must be Muslim.
Basil was caned 10 times on his palm for eating fried rice with pork which his mother had prepared for him.
The issue first surfaced at a PKR press conference in Kuching where Angela Jabing, the mother of the St Thomas Primary School pupil, accused a senior teacher of caning her son for bringing a non-halal meal to school.
This led to the school senior assistant apologising to Angela which she accepted.

Pork in school issue: Jakim asked to investigate Beginda's religious status
KUALA LUMPUR: The government has asked the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) to investigate the religious status of Beginda Anak Minda also known as Noor Azman Abdullah, said Minister in the Orime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.
He said only after this was done, could investigations proceed into the caning of his son in a school in Kuching for bringing fried rice with pork sausages into the school's premises.
"If he is determined to be a Muslim, according to a decree issued by the National Fatwa Council, if one of the parents is a Muslim, the child also has to be a Muslim.
"Only after this can conclusions be drawn why his son was caned," he said when winding debate on the Supply Bill 2011 for the Prime Minister's Department in the Dewan Rakyat Wednesday.
The case was highlighted in newspapers on Nov 5 after the 10-year-old boy's mother, Angela Jabing, complained to the Sarawak Education Department about the caning incident.
The issue also caused a shouting match to erupt between Zulkifli Nordin (Independent-Kulim-Bandar Baru) and Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (Pas-Kuala Selangor) leading to the latter being ordered out of the Dewan till proceedings resumed in the afternoon.
Zulkifli had accused Pas of condoning Muslims eating pork which riled up Dzulkefly resulting a slanging match between the duo which lasted for almost 10 minutes before Timbalan Speaker Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar intervened.
Later, Chong Chien Jen (DAP-Bandar Kuching) told reporters at Parliament's lobby that Basil anak Beginda (the son) was not a Muslim based on his parents religious status in his birth certificate and their wedding certificate which was e-mailed to him by Basil's mother today.
"According to the certificates, his father, Beginda anak Minda has no religion while his mother, Angela anak Jabing is a Christian. So based on this, the boy was brought up as a Christian according to his mother's religion," he said. -
