Pas spiritual leader, Kelantan Pas Commissioner and Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat’s days in both the political party and the state government is numbered!
Nik Aziz is now widely expected to step down ‘with honour’ before he is forced to do so, as in the case of his CEO son-in-law Ariffahmi.
Nik Aziz, sources say, is very hurt and disturbed with the Pas central committee’s unanimous decision to remove his son-in-law.
The central committee’s strong message was conveyed to the Spiritual Leader by none other than Abdul Hadi Awang, the president whom Nik Aziz was vehemently attacking just a few weeks ago.
Pas insiders say Hadi had grabbed the bull by its horn and turned the tables on Nik Aziz by putting the Menteri Besar in place and showing him who is the BOSS.
In his capacity as the president Hadi now has enough reasons to interfere in the internal affairs of Pas in Kelantan, a state that has been under the iron grip of Nik Aziz and Husam Musa.
Ariffahmi has not only undermined his aging father-in-law but has also ‘empowered’ Pas loyalist like Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.
As anticipated the deputy state commissioner of the Islamist party has now demanded Nik Aziz to name his successor.
An astute politician, Datuk Amar has said what many in Pas wanted to say with utmost diplomacy but the message is crystal clear ‘Please step down before you are forced to’.
If Nik Aziz fails to feel the pulse as it beats today he would be dragging down many other leaders with him, including his obvious successor Husam Musa.
Could Husam Musa be the next Menteri Besar of Kelantan?

p/s Cronyism is evident, lets wait for nepotism and the rest in Pas.
